About Alcey

Alcey Stafford did not start writing until middle age, but is making up for lost time. Her first book is coming out in 2026, with a short story scheduled for 2027 as part of an anthology. An avid reader of history for most of her life, she loves to use what she has learned to create characters and settings from the past. Having heard stories of life in the 1920s and 30s from her grandmother, mother and aunts, it was a natural choice to write about these decades. When not making up stories, Alcey Stafford lives quietly with her family. Her favorite things are being a mom and grandma, writing, hanging out with writer friends, reading (especially about popular history), taking road trips, sleeping in, and dessert.
